Music for Meditation

A little bit of Context..

I’m not a meditation guru or anything like that but over the years I became very interested in and aware of the therapeutic benefits of music and how it can help one to meditate. I found meditation helped me in many ways and as a composer I wanted to make my own meditation music.

Meditation takes a lot of practice and can be frustrating for beginners and any help is welcome. I  tried listening to binaural beats but isochronic tones appealed to me more because I didn’t want to have to listen on headphones and they didn’t make my brain feel weird like binaural beats did.

Around the age of 12, I went to karate lessons and at the end of class we would sometimes do a guided meditation. It’s a habit I have kept up since then.

Isochronic tones may have effects similar to binaural beats, and are a form of brainwave entrainment that are a little easier to listen to. Your brain has been proven to sync with external stimuli like sound and light, changing brain states. E.g From very anxious to a meditative state or from a groggy to more focused state. I originally made these for myself but they are popular with my listeners on Soundcloud so thought I’d make some animations for them and upload here too.

DISCLAIMER; The research on Isochronic tones is very scant so I can’t claim anything with certainty really. I find them more relaxing to listen to than others out there and my Soundcloud listeners have been finding them useful too, so if they help you then I'm happy. Save for an anxious day when you need to get in the zone, pre-interview or audition etc

You can find more of these here on my band camp page https://celseymcfadden.bandcamp.com/a...

Hope you find it useful! :)

Don’t listen to while driving!
